Silverado Credit Union was founded and chartered in 1953. Our field of membership at that time included the employees and family members of St. Helena Hospital and members of the Deer Park Elmshaven Church.
We are a non-profit cooperative, regulated by an agency of the Federal Government, the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration). We exist to provide our members with competitively priced financial services and benefits... low interest rates on loans, higher dividend rates on savings and a wide range of other services. Personal service to the membership is our primary goal. The Credit Union exists for the sole purpose of serving its membership.
In 1987 our Board of Directors elected to expand our field of membership to offer employees of local businesses access to credit union services. (Within a 25 mile radius of a Silverado CU office) Family members of an active member are also eligible to join the Credit Union. Additionally,in 2002 we have expanded our field of membership to include all residents who live, work or worship in Napa County or who are a Seventh-day Adventist Church member in the State of California or Idaho.
Today we are one of the leading credit unions in the state of California with assets in excess of $40 million and serve over 7,500 members. We currently offer over 30 services. We constantly strive to upgrade our services with quality products, keeping current with todays technology. We pride ourselves on friendly, personal and efficient service.
